Based on our proprietary production process, LOFO has developed several new films and improved technology during the last years. These products contribute now to the production portfolio.
During these developments, the solvent cast key technology and follow-up steps have been improved as well:
- Dissolution and dispersion of dope solutions
- Casting die design
- Drying technology
- Film testing
- Clean room operation
Additionally two new production lines for optical films have been designed and constructed in the last 3 years.
In recent years, LOFO has increasingly focused on working together with international market and technology leaders to develop new films. LOFO´s strength in these co-operations is the profound knowledge of various components of specific solvent cast methods. Co-operation or contract partners provide LOFO in many cases with proprietary or licensed polymers. The combination of solvent cast technology and outstanding polymers enables us to produce films with required combinations of properties, which could not be achieved by other film production methods.
